The Story of Sarah Grace is a story of real life, real faith, and a real experience with God’s grace.
For much of my early life, I struggled with a sense of personal value, purpose, and identity, searching for truth without knowing where to find it. At 20, I prayed a desperate prayer:
“God, if You are real, show me who You are. Show me the truth, and I will serve You for the rest of my life.”
At 21, an encounter with God changed everything. I surrendered my life to Christ, beginning a lifelong journey of faith, transformation, and purpose.
Within weeks, I received my first invitation to share my testimony at a local church where my new husband and I were attending with our firstborn. What began with speaking at churches and conferences, and later at rehab centers, halfway houses, and even on street corners, became an important part of my life.
I was sharing my story and teaching from what I was learning in my own journey of faith. While my opportunities and influence were expanding, so was my family, eventually growing to seven children and tragically ending in divorce shortly after the birth of our seventh child.
I remember wondering if I would still be invited to share my story and teach what I was learning. There were people who believed that, because of my divorce, I should no longer have the opportunity to do so. But I continued. In fact, my work and influence expanded.
I began traveling more extensively across the nation, writing and publishing books, and receiving more and more opportunities to share my story and message with audiences in different cities and communities. I also began receiving invitations to share my story across multiple media platforms, including radio, television, print, and digital media, on both secular and faith-based platforms.
Eventually, I began producing and hosting my own original television programs—all while continuing to navigate the realities of single motherhood, raising seven children, homeschooling, building businesses from home, and managing the many responsibilities that came with the life I was living.
Behind what people could see publicly, I was also navigating physical illness, emotional exhaustion, health concerns involving my children, intellectual disabilities, behavioral challenges, difficult transitions, and significant financial pressures. Yet, out of a deep sense of responsibility and purpose from God, I did not allow what I was going through to stop me. I dug deeper into my faith, learning to embrace and embody God’s grace and discovering how to navigate real life with real faith and supernatural grace.
As people watched the journey from afar, many began reaching out to me for advice and guidance. Over time, I became a go-to person for individuals, influencers, leaders, and public figures who were looking for someone who could help them navigate their own challenges, decisions, faith, purpose, and lives.
Because I recognized the importance of being properly equipped and continually sharpening my knowledge for the work I was doing, I pursued additional education, certifications, licenses, and ordinations throughout my journey.
As a result of people observing and witnessing my work over the span of several decades, I was nominated for multiple honorary doctorates in recognition of the mastery and impact of work I accomplished outside of a traditional academic path. For years, people had affectionately called me “Dr. Grace” because of their perception of my level of experience, wisdom, and knowledge. The honorary doctorate nominations only reinforced the nickname that had already become part of how people knew me.
Today, I live, attend church, and continue my work while based in the greater Nashville area of Middle Tennessee. I am enjoying these last few years with my teenage children and cherishing all the time I can get with my adult children, who live across the country.
I know my story is still unfolding, and I will continue to share it for as long as God gives me the grace to do so.
